On Art & Fashion

And twirl....
Gorgeous original artwork by Danny Simmons
This past Friday I attended the opening night of the Danny Simmons (brother of acclaimed hip hop pioneers Russell and Rev. Run) art exhibit at the African American Museum of Philadelphia. Danny is a prolific artist and poet with an extraordinary art collection, some of which is on display at AAMP until May 31. Artists and fashion designers typically share the same passion and expression. Oftentimes the two worlds collide beautifully!
Comfy & chic
The theme for the night (for me at least) was all about being comfortably chic. I went with a lovely and oh so comfy shirt by Loud. It is so versatile and fits sizes often does that happen?  I paired it with some tights from Torrid and a cute sparkly pair of flats. It was perfect!  I traveled through the exhibit with ease and looked good while doing it!

Standing amid all that beautiful artwork inspired an impromptu mini photo shoot (of course). I love these shots because they capture the fun and flare of this top with an awesome back drop of one Danny's original pieces of art. The collection is really fascinating and worth a trip to the museum if you're in the Philadelphia area.

Much thanks to Lollipop Boutique for my new "go to" top!
