Life Can Be a "Dream Girl"

I watched the MTV VMAs (Video Music Awards) on Sunday night simply to see the fashion. I could only make it through about a quarter of the show as I'm not really into any of the music (I'm old school), but as a lover of all things formal wear I had to check out some of the latest trends in celebrity fashion. The VMAs are notorious for celebrities and artists showing up in the most daring and for sure, skin baring pieces of fashion. This year was no exception. (Really Miley...really?)

In my search to find some industry A-listers who didn't mind being covered, I found & reposted a photo on Instagram that had three young popular stars fully clothed and looking fabulous.  As my caption says, taking risk is the "in" thing to do...but I think stay classy can also be a risk worth taking.

So in that vein, let's talk about how sophisticated and elegant you'll look at your next formal occasion in this gorgeous crimson gown from Sydney's Closet. This is their "Dream Girl" gown and boy is it dreamy! I felt like a princess in a fairytale while wearing this dress...the only missing was my tiara. (My prince was behind the camera taking the photo!)

The gown comes in three colors, but as I said when I featured the other lovely gowns from Sydney's Closet (here here), red is the color for fun. It's bold, eye-catching, festive and wearable in any season. This gown has an Empire silhouette which is one of my favorite, most flattering cuts for my curves. Though it's pictured strapless it comes with straps for those who may like or need a little more support in the bust area. The shimmering detail underneath the chiffon is what I love most about the dress. I mean who doesn't like a little shimmer & shine when they're dressed to the nines!

The gown is available in sizes 14-36 (I'm wearing a size 20) and again you have a choice of colors if red doesn't fit your fancy. I typically eschew neck adornments in favor of big, chandelier earrings but this time I couldn't resist wearing a lovely piece that helped complete the look I wanted for this gown.

You'll feel like you're floating through the room when you walk as the gown is flowy and fluid in its movement. You really could make magic happen in this dreamy dress!

If you're shopping for an upcoming black tie charity event, gala, or formal holiday celebration, head on over to Sydney's Closet to check out the dress of your dreams (type in "dream girl" or SC7121 for a quick search) won't be disappointed!  Be sure to tell them you saw the dress here on Big Bella Donna Fashion and also remember to come back to let me know how you much loved it!
